Ben Jones

Board Member

Ben is enthusiastic about spending time in the outdoors with family and friends. He enjoys skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and hobby farming.  In 2022 Ben completed his longest mountain bike ride down the Great Divide from Banff Alberta to Mexico with his family running sag the entire way.  

Professionally Ben has served in roles as Head of U.S. Intermediary Distribution, President, and Chief Operating Officer.  Ben is a recognizable financial industry voice as the creator and co-host of the award-winning Better Conversations. Better Outcomes. Podcast series and his writings have been featured in publications like Institutional Investor, Financial Planning, and AmLaw. 

Ben has a strong reputation as a strategic leader, successfully enhancing organizations to drive better outcomes.  Ben lives on his little hobby farm in the Heber Valley with his wife and two daughters.

Why Are You Passionate About Trails and Serving WTF?

Trail networks energize communities and provide formal and informal connections between the places we live and the open spaces we love.  Trails have provided me with meaningful friendships, space to think, and enjoyment.  I am excited to serve the Wasatch Trail Foundation as we connect our community by building and maintaining a year-round trail system for locals and visitors to enjoy.
