Heavy Maintenance of the WOW Trail

We wanted to take a moment to update everyone on the heavy maintenance that’s happening on the WOW trail. First off, this work is made possible through Vail Epic Promise’s generous donation to Mountain Trails Foundation, South Summit Trails Foundation, and us! We are working hard to ensure that we continue to receive this support from Epic Promise towards old and new projects in years to come.

If you’ve been up there, you’ve surely seen Derek and his crew with multiple machines and hand tools. We want to do everything we can to keep the WOW trail open through this construction, however, we need your help…

Please understand the machinery is potentially dangerous and to keep your distance. Derek and crew will always stop their work for you to pass, however, please be mindful of what is going on around you in these high traffic areas.

If at all possible, schedule your rides in the early morning or in the afternoon/early evening. We realize this is challenging as we move further through fall and our daylight becomes less and less, however, in doing so, we will allow longer windows of consistent work with less interruptions.

We are thrilled to finally be able to give WOW the TLC that it has needed for years. Please help support us in completing this project!
